Newly paired, Kate and Stephen are just getting used to one another when Kate begins to gain weight. The authorities recently removed citizens who showed similar symptoms and so they struggle to conceal her before seeking help from a doctor who they’ve heard can be bribed to consult off the record. Their world begins to crumble after the doctor’s words and the couple begins to plot a secret escape.
